What: Embodied yoga and pilates practices for the spring season using a chair and other props for leverage and strength.

When: Saturdays April 26 & May 3

Where: Online on Zoom, with Vimeo Replays (available for one month after live session)

In this spring season of endless unknowns we consider practices of strength and resilience. Our workshops will be focused on Pilates strength building and yoga postures centered on principles of functionality and longevity. Do not mistake this for easy work. The chair is a tool of leverage: It allows us access to new angles of embodied perception.

Practices are designed for all: teachers, experienced home practitioners and newcomers are welcome. In each session we will combine classical yoga with elements with functional movement, Pilates and Katonah Yoga.

Focus of each workshop:

April 26 ~ Voluminous Breath, Supple Back : A grounded, breath-focused practice moving towards wheel and other backbends.

May 3 ~ Center & Circumference: Part dynamic standing poses and balances and part restorative.
